Per stamp, meaning one notarial seal and signature — one notarial act. Never per page: a multi-page affidavit that is sworn once is a single stamp. Each signature the notary witnesses is its own act, so one document signed by two people is two stamps. Optional extras — printing at an in-person visit or a mailed paper copy — are separate services with their own posted price, never part of the notarization fee.

Ontario does not publish a fee schedule for notaries public, so every practice — law firm or notary — sets its own price and its own unit, and the only fair comparison is the posted price per act. Yes. The first signer is included, and each additional person who signs is charged as one more stamp — $24.95 plus HST per additional signer. For example, one document signed by two people comes to $49.90 before HST. Your full total is always shown before you confirm.

The same flat $24.95 per stamp applies either way, and a mobile visit adds a flat $60 travel fee. That travel fee is charged once for the trip, no matter how many documents we sign while we are there.

Only for true last-minute bookings. Choosing an online time slot that starts within 20 minutes of checkout adds a flat $8 instant booking fee plus HST, shown and explicitly accepted before you pay. Any time more than 20 minutes out — including later the same day — never carries this fee.

Yes, on request. If you ask us to prepare and print your documents for an in-person visit, printing is $0.40 per page (black and white only), settled directly with the notary at the visit. Nothing is charged for printing at checkout — if you print your own documents, or nothing needs printing, there is no printing charge at all.

Yes. When you book online you can add a printed copy delivered anywhere in Canada: $20.99 for regular mail (8–10 business days) or $49.95 expedited (3–4 business days). The price is all-in — printing and Canada-wide postage together — and HST applies. Digital delivery of your signed documents is always included at no extra charge.

A will and a power of attorney have to be signed in person, so instead of a per-stamp charge they are priced as a bundle by how many you sign at one appointment: $115 for one document, $200 for any two, and $240 for a will plus both powers of attorney, plus HST. Every document is covered in full — witnessing the signing, both witnesses (we supply them), and its own affidavit of execution — so there is nothing further to add. For a couple signing wills and powers of attorney together, there is a couple signing discount — please email us for a rate. An affidavit you come in to swear on its own is charged as an affidavit at the usual per-stamp rate.

Yes. Online payments carry the card processor's fee of 2.9% + $0.30, calculated on the amount including HST and passed through at cost, so the posted $24.95 is what the notary actually receives. On a single $24.95 stamp that is $1.16, for a total of $29.35. It appears as its own line on the Review step before you pay, and the estimator at the top of this page includes it. Paying at the office by cash, debit, credit card, or e-transfer has no processing fee.

One stamp is $24.95 plus HST, and a document sworn or signed once is one stamp, however many pages it has (each extra signer or exhibit adds one stamp). Signing online, one stamp comes to $29.35 in total, card fee included; at our Ottawa office it is $28.19, with no card fee. Several documents at one appointment are simply one stamp each: three documents signed online come to $87.42 in total. Your exact total is always shown before you confirm.
