Common questions
- Who can join?
- Ontario notaries public (LSO licensees) and commissioners for taking affidavits (with a valid appointment). You will need proof of E&O insurance.
- How do I get paid?
- You earn a percentage of each completed booking. Earnings are settled monthly by the office by e-transfer, with a downloadable statement.
- Do I talk to the customers directly?
- The office coordinates all customer communication and scheduling. You focus on the appointment itself — document prep, the meeting, and signing.
- What equipment do I need?
- Your seal or stamp, a signature, and for online commissioning a computer with a camera. Everything else runs on the Minute Notary platform.
