How it works

From application to your first booking

Three steps — every notary is reviewed and approved by the office before any work is assigned.

  1. Step 01

    Apply

Create your account, then complete your profile: credentials, E&O insurance, seal and signature, services, and working hours.

  2. Step 02

    Get approved

The office verifies your credential against the LSO directory and reviews your profile. You are notified as soon as you are approved.

  3. Step 03

    Get bookings

The office assigns bookings that match your services and schedule. You prepare, meet, and sign — paperwork and payments stay with the office.

FAQ

Common questions

Who can join?
Ontario notaries public (LSO licensees) and commissioners for taking affidavits (with a valid appointment). You will need proof of E&O insurance.
How do I get paid?
You earn a percentage of each completed booking. Earnings are settled monthly by the office by e-transfer, with a downloadable statement.
Do I talk to the customers directly?
The office coordinates all customer communication and scheduling. You focus on the appointment itself — document prep, the meeting, and signing.
What equipment do I need?
Your seal or stamp, a signature, and for online commissioning a computer with a camera. Everything else runs on the Minute Notary platform.
